little stressy moments...

last month we got a phone call... from the stake presidency...

for those of you who don't speak the LDS lingo that translates into getting a phone call from the guys who may or may not be giving you a church assignment that may or may not freak you out!

My (least) favorite part?   When they call they always set up an appointment with the couple...  not indicating which of us should be holding our breaths and/or praying like crazy.

ManOfTheHouse has been serving as EQ president (that's the guy who helps people move - among other things - for those of you who are lost...) for awhile now... so we had lots of options running around our heads...

And why is it that there's always DAYS between the phone call and the meeting?  I could have handled hours, minutes would have worked for me even!

Long story short?  I'm relaxing now... no big changes for me...

well, except that I REALLY have to stop making jokes about the "Dry Council"  :)

(and just so you know - I had to promise the Stake President that I'd wait to blog about this... but it's official now so I'm safe!)

  2. Hey T - I haven't been on in awhile so I just caught up on your blog. Looks like you had a great vacation! That huge pizza the size of her head looked good (I'm hungry right now, ha.) I don't really speak LDS - however I have a good friend here who is part of your denomination, and I am amazed at how well her church friends take care of her. When he husband was deployed she had so much support and help. I've never seen anything else like it. peace!

  10. Totally hate the waiting game as well. I bet this change will be a lot less time on his part. So that is good news for you.
