It's a vitamin sweetie, not an action figure...

I seriously had to say those words to my child today. I'm sure that nobody needs an explanation beyond the fact that we have recently (at the urging of our dentist) switched from Gummi Bear vitamins to some Dinosaur shaped traditional hard as rock vitamins. M thinks these are lots of fun.

I have just returned from a very large church meeting (stake conference for those of you "in the know") where because ManOfTheHouse was acting in an official capacity I sat alone with my 5 children. Since my children range in age from 5 (almost 6) to 14 (almost 17) you wouldn't think this was difficult, but our difficulties began before we even left the house. To make a long story short there was a shower shut off just minutes before the meeting was to start - people annoyed that there was a bench saved for people (us) who obviously couldn't make it on time - and a pair of jeans substituted for reasonable attire because at that point the options were extremely limited. I have had to once again remind my older children that Sunday occurs every seven days without fail... and maybe a little preparation might be in order?

I love being a mom.

I actually do - and another day I will expound on that. For now I am enjoying hiding in my room helping the nearly 8 year old daughter with her Sunday book of word puzzles. Something we both enjoy and a learning activity rolled into one. (thanks to Grandma for sending the book... she is SO excited for turning 8!!!)

my question for you - a six letter word for something that drives you crazy... My answer starts with a T and ends with a revor... but I love him anyway.

Whenever I send my boys to church in jeans or subtitute shirt, my mom always has to comment "shouldn't they (me) get their clothes ready on Saturday?" (is a special day, it's the day we get ready for Sunday!). I tell her, just be thankful they came to church!

Hey- what's wrong with gummi vitamins? Those are the only ones my kids will eat.
Yum...I like them too..

Where can I get some of those vitamins?

gummi bear vitamins are fine - as long as your kids don't have a mouthful of silver teeth because they've inherited the worst things possible from both parents. His crooked teeth were healthy, my straight teeth were rotten - thus my children have rotten crooked teeth.

and KP - I buy them at CostCo - and I now know that they make a gummi-vites for adults (since M.O.T.H. likes them as well...)

I had to have Cold Cocoa buy me gummies from Sam's because my kids starting boycotting the hard stuff. And I couldn't force them to eat them when they made me dry heave as well.
Not looking forward to those teenage years. Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the pre-horomonal ones while I've got 'em.

Ha!That is funny. T-revor does make some good mini PB cookies.
Thanks to our recent switch to gummy vites our kids have been very diligent vitamin-takers. We'll trade you for the hard stuff any day.
Thanks for a super fun weekend!!!!

Too bad about the mouths full of silver teeth. Never having a cavity in my life, I didn't know that I should have been taking B to the dentist years before I did. Hence my negative judgement of the mothers of children with silver teeth has vanished (especially since B now has 7 plus a spacer).

Seriously, why is it kids like to test the "Thou shalt not kill" at such inoportune times. Glad you all survived.

Can't wait to hear about how you love being a mom. I'm not seeing it in myself.

Hey why is that on Sunday mornings nothing goes right? My girls all fight, i end up being grumpy, and here in arizona i fight with my girls about wearing flip flops to church. (shower looking flops)

glad it happens elsewhere:)

Wait-Sunday happens every seven days? Where was I when this happened? I'm glad you had a place to sit when you got there. Sounds like you earned it:)
