"I don't get it"

what do I not get you ask? I'm not quite sure - but you can check with the teenagers... as of Sunday I have TWO teenage boys in the house. I'm no math whiz but I'm pretty sure that's two too many. I'm bound to be hearing a little more "you don't get it" as the years go by...

Sunday birthdays are a little bit of a bummer. Well, for kids at least. ME? I love 'em and would opt for a Sunday birthday every year - a few hours of church and little else to concern me - what could be better?

The new bike took a spin around the park yesterday and our newly 13 son VOLUNTARILY took not only his 10 year old brother with him, but the 7 and 5 year old girls... and when little M fell down and scraped up her knees - that bike was helpful to make a quick trip home for bandages.

Anyone who has been around M this past week will know this is NOT her first "boo boo" - all told she has bled from one chin, two knees, one toe, and one hand. what a clutz. (and this is where everyone who knows me just smiles and keeps the fact that she takes after her mother to themselves)

Happy Birthday to W - he's a great kid really. We're holding our breaths for the onset of teenage brain damage (which reverses around age 23 I'm told...) and enjoying every moment he continues to be a helpful, sharing, creative, industrious, loving child...

oh shoot - I'll be back later with pictures of the Sock Monkey cake... not my best effort ever, but certainly a lot of fun... even though it WAS chocolate which meant I didn't get a single bite.

Good luck with the teenage thing. They are delightful!

You don't get to go out to eat or a movie and isn't Sunday the messiest day of the house?? That's why I am morally against all Sunday birthdays.
So excited for the next victim of puberty running around your house. Happy day to him!

You are such a hip mom, how can your teenagers not know that?
Sundays are definitely the worst days for a birthday. You can't go out and buy your own dinner (which is necessary if your hubs doesn't cook) and can't buy yourself treats.. staying home does not a special bday make! Ok, you can tell I just had a Sunday bday and it was the pits. Still waiting for Q's call to make it all better!

Sounds like you've got a little Bella on your hands. ;)

Btw, I don't get it either!!!!! High Five! I'm not good at math either but I have THREE boys.

Your verifier says uxwwjg. I don't think it gets it either.

Crash - talk about my not being good at Math... I should have mentioned that my 3rd boy is not yet a teenager but is pressing his luck all the same :)

PLEASE let her have a little more personality than Bella though!

Yikes. I'm waiting to have children till science has discovered a way to skip ages 11-21. Oh, and for a husband, too:)

I want to skip over the 20's at this point. My RM is driving me CRAZY! I'm about to say words that aren't nice to him. LOTS of them.

And that's why I'm not letting my kids get any older than they are right now. (Since I have total control over that type of thing.)

I'm glad to hear there are fellow klutzes out there. Makes me feel a little less like an imbecile. Thanks! :)

Happy birthday to Weston. I'm sure he'll just keep right on being helpful and all of those other nice things you said. It can happen. I maintain that I was a great teenager -- though maybe I won't let you try to varify that by reading my journals or talking to any of my family members:)
