And so it begins...

First Day of School!!!
that's a great lookin' bunch of kids...  y'know, from my completely unbiased point of view :)
the second grader...  who was dressed head to toe in Hello Kitty... much to the chagrin of her teenage brothers.
the fourth grader - who looks healthy as a horse.

let's not mention that she is home today with a nasty case of Strep.

my apologies to the new classmates - really...  but how do you have strep without a sore throat... or a fever?
the 6th grader - starting at the Intermediate school would stress out anyone... but not this kid.

He is finally eating his vegetables because someone told him it would help his hair grow...
the 9th grader... still at the Middle School - but needing to be shuttled off to the HS for an hour a day to take a math class that isn't offered at his own school...
and the Junior... who is getting too tall to smack. I am trying not to think about the next few years and just enjoy him now that the worst of the teenage angst is in the past :) Happy Back to School...
Regularly Scheduled snarky blogs to resume tomorrow.   ...

School starts for my kids on Thursday and I am looking forward to them all being on a schedule again. Wow, I have a 9th grader too, but he will be going to high school. Here's to another school year.

I had strep a couple of weekends ago and thought I was going to die. But shouldn't the antibiotics be kicking in where she ain't contagious anymore? Missing the first day of school is the worst!
Regardless, your brood is looking mighty fine.

That's a good lookin' clan you've got there. I'm jealous that your whole fam is off to school. Mine just got back off track~three weeks on, three weeks off. What the H! Anyway, I'll enjoy your peace and quiet vicariously.

I can't believe how big your boys are getting!! Does Veggie boy drive to school or ride the bus? C refuses to ride the bus or eat in the cafeteria! (:

Wow, strep on the first day of school. Hopefully that isn't a sign of things to come (she's just getting it out of the way). I can Not believe you have a junior, didn't you just graduate from high school yourself.

T looks just like his Dad--direct quote from Brynn sitting by me.

Okay...now that I've finished laughing, and because I like you so much, I'm going to let you in on a secret. That whole teenage angst thing? Yeah... not really over yet. I totally thought it was with the Teenager, but he got WORSE after graduation. Something about turning 18 shuts off the self-censon between their brain and their mouths....

LOVE the pictures, though! They're fabulous!!

Those are some great pictures. They should know that their cousins here at my house were thinking of them all this week and remembered all by themselves that your kids would be in school. I hope H. gets better and that everyone loves their new classes.

Wow- a junior! Time is speeding up too fast. What a good lookin' bunch. Now that school is in session, the germs will be coming home in mass amounts. Ack!

I know we get a bit nostalgic about our kids getting older, but I really really like my big kids. they are fun and witty and smart. Your kids look like fun!

Looking forward to snarkiness again soon. :)

Love the shoes! Looks like some we used to have around our house until I became an empty nester. Now that that kids are in school... we need to do lunch!
