I didn't make this up

I can't believe some of the stuff on ebay sometimes...  for instance, today someone is selling this brand new safety pin...
I'm sure it's quite appealing to many of you - but hold the phone - there's a current bid of 24.50 on the item...  I suspect there is something odd going on, but I don't want to know... so far there are no bids on an unused popsicle stick which I suspect is from the same seller.  A roasted peanut carved into the shape of a mallard duck?  They've got it, and now that you know it exists how will your home be complete without such a thing.
You'd be wise though to pass up the three previous items and save your pennies for Paris Hilton's napkin, which she apparently used in Prague and then wadded up in an extremely Hilton-esque way, which should bring some serious bucks... no bids thus far though.
My sister and I like to send each other e-bay "it's the thought that counts gifts" meaning that we never actually buy them for each other...  I gave her a small town in Montana one year. what's the funniest thing you've ever found there?

Hmm. I've been on the e-bay site maybe twice and was a bit intimidated and didn't stick around. If I need something from there I call Erin.

I've never shopped for funny things from ebay as I quickly get sucked into the hype and am likely to bid on something. I actually find it strange that you can buy autos from ebay. The cornflake shaped like Illinois was pretty lame--that one was on the news. Aren't all cornflakes a state shape if you turn it or nibble it a bit?

there's currently a chewed piece of gum that supposedly resembles Yoda (I don't think it looks a thing like the Jedi Master) and a goth rubber duckie complete with a death certificate...

You know- besides that Mormon underwear catastrophe I don't know! I am like Megan and go straight to what I'm looking for because there is SO MUCH stuff on ebay you know you could spend hours there.

Wow. There's a whole world to ebay I haven't discovered. Usually I just go straight for what I'm looking for and so i guess I've missed the side shows.
I like the "thought that counts" gift giving idea.
