Is there a grace period on license renewal?

as some of you know I decided to be lazy yesterday...  REALLY lazy and I spent the day playing with my kids at home rather than doing all of the things that needed to be done (laundry, renewing my license) so today I'm going to be busy...  EXCEPT that I'm still not sure I have time for the DMV since I have a 10:00 meeting and my son's out of school at 11:00...

so, if you locals see some big black SUV driving down the road like it's being driven by your sainted grandmother... just wave and say hi :)

Ooh, you're going to be in trouble. lol.

There is a grace period in my state where you can go and renew without having to take any tests. I forgot last year and my b-day was on a Friday and had to wait until Monday. That's how I know. :)

I am counting down the days until I can get my licence renewed...Dec. 09...the picture is horrendous! Usually, I am the person that waits until the last day then something comes up!
I hope you had a wonderful groundhog, errrr, BIRTHday!

But how fun that you got to spend the day with your kids---and how lucky for them!

I think you should be blessed by having no long line at the DMV. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I think there is a grace period actually - I'm not very punctual about things, so I vaguely remember renewing my already-expired license. It wasn't a big deal.

Let's face it--There really is never a convenient time to go to the DMV. You just need to drive your slow granny be-hind down there and get 'er done already! Besides, someone who works there may see your blog and know you're expired already. Your profile picture is probably behind every counter. (Good thing they'll be looking for Audrey....)

This is SO fresh on my mind since I did it yesterday. Sadly, my license expired SEPT 1. I didn't even know until the bank brought it to my attention. Luckily, it is not past 6 months or I would have had to take the written test, longer, and you have to do the driving test too.
So rest easy...except don't get pulled over or in an accident.

I think- at least here in HI - if you let it lapse.. you have to take the DRIVING TEST again!!!

talk about motivation to nOT let it expire!

good luck!
Oh- Ps-\\
I was sooo nervous to get my HI DL- that I had CRASH come with me for moral support!

The actual driving the car test...

and I had CRASH come- because I have a phobia of bubble tests..

In my state you have 30 days... but then after that they put your through it - you have to re-take the drivers test. yuck! So get yourself down there and renew. I wish you to best drivers license picture ever! :-)
