May Day

When I was young my mother would get us to make paper baskets and we would fill them with flowers and leave them at neighbors' houses (probably not every year, but at least a few times growing up)  This was probably a terribly archaic tradition even then (I'm not THAT old, despite what some may think).

The thing is, it was fun, and a nice pick me up...  so here...
Happy May Day!

Archaic or not, sometimes we just have to celebrate the little things in life... sorry, you'll have to tie your own ribbon around the May Pole and dance!

Old-time traditions can be great, can't they? How come you didn't carry on the tradition? Don't break a family legacy! I am happy May is here.

That sounds like just the activity Kate needed today. Instead, she gathered some weeds, in little paper cups with dirt and wrote words on rocks like, "Love" and then she took her wares to the driveway with a sign," Mother's Day gifts 2 for 25 cents."

dang. We need two TVs. Jazz game or free redbox?? Any guesses on who will win? But that is not what this is about. Sorry Tonya.
So flowers for Mayday. Why the heck not? I am all for oh dang. It is May 2nd. Would redbox still be free? Will the Jazz be up by so much in the 1st half that we can just turn it off and watch 27 Dresses instead? Back to flowers. The virtual kind works for me, Tonya. You don't feel bad throwing them away and they were free! Everyone is a winner. But now I have to see about that movie.
