#2 - you write a blog... all about yourself... and check your e-mail every 2.4 minutes to see if anyone has commented.
#1 - okay...bear with me...
An open letter to the Sweet little girl who I briefly encountered last night at a school event - no, not the one gluing the tootie frooties to her brother - the one who said "you're pretty" to me out of the blue...
You made my day. You might have been going up to every lady in the school and telling them the same thing - but I'm sure you noticed how happy I was to hear you say it to me. Or maybe my over-reaction freaked you out a little bit? I didn't necessarily mean that I REALLY wanted to take you home and keep you forever. My apologies, no need for the restraining order.
That is all.
Love, Tonya
(who is not a creeper in the least... but may have borrowed the picture from a divorce website... because apparently when you're as nice as me you don't have a restraining order laying about the house ready to be photographed.)

Bwhahahhahha! #2 is me. What do you think I've been doing all morning?
Strange how things can get messed up that quick. Anyway you are pretty! Happy Friday!
When that happened to me I over freaked as well. I love random compliments about my "natural" beauty. They make everybody's day. Let's make this random beauty compliment day.
Awww so sweet! There's a boy who was in my old primary class who had a crush on a girl in the class. He always called her "the most beautiful girl in primary." One time I asked him, "Who is the most beautiful teacher in primary." He said, "You of course, you're my teacher and I LOVE YOU!" It made me feel the same way.
Well who's not gonna wanna take someone home if they call them pretty? Totally justified.
What a sweet little girl to say something like that! I bet it made your day.
But....
it's true ya know.
Out of the mouths of babes!
Happens to me all the time. Especially when I wear my tiara.
Oh, man! No fair! I want your comment! Maybe if I soft focus my face everywhere I go, and paste on some fake eyelashes...well, never mind. It is what it is. YOU TAKE THAT COMPLIMENT AND BUILD A LIFE ON IT, CHICK! Now here's one more...YOU'RE FUNNY! And you know, most pretty girls have crappy personalities, so, you know...Double threat.
I can't imagine a more depressing job than designing clip art for divorce websites.
Yes, well I check for comments all of the time too. I try not to really. And I love random complements from kids. I just can't think of when that's happened lately. Jake did help me pick what to wear one Sunday a few months back by saying "You should wear this -- you look good in it". I loved that.
A compliment will always get you anywhere!
That's why I love my job!!! Little preschoolers are like puppies, they love you no matter what. They don't care what you look like or what you wear. It's the perfect job for me, as I fit right in!!!
...with all the nice things said here I'm going to need a bigger house when I make you all come home with me :)
You're definitely too nice to ever require a restraining order.
And the kid was right, you're pretty.
I was walking through the school once to pick up my kids, and a little girl from Sam's class looked at me and said, "You're so pretty!" And I nearly melted and died right there on the spot and wanted to take her home with me too. Cause my kids say things like, "MOM! Don't breath on me! You're breath stinks!" And well, that just doesn't do for your ego what "you're pretty" does.
Happens to me all the time. You know, the Angelina mistake.
You are definitely not alone in your obsession with blog comments, nor in your euphoria at all appearance-based compliments. I definitely recognized myself in your post!
I am sure she is a very smart little girl! Everyone needs comments like that!
Hahaha! I never took you for a creeper...
What a sweetie!!! ;D
YAY! I made your 3 minutes of happiness! <3
I love compliments from kids too, because they are honest. I figure when I get a compliment from Olivia, who is TOUGH to please, then I can jump up and down. I was really jealous of a mom on tv because she was saying "she's beautiful" and then she told me it was the baby who was beautiful, because she had on a princess dress. Guess I need to invest in an adult Belle costume.
Don't we all check for comments often every once and again?
