Memory is the first to go

This was the picture I posted yesterday...
because I couldn't find this picture...
In all fairness I'd forgotten that NONE of us was in color.  My kids are pretty sure that the entire world was black and white back then.
I'd also forgotten that while I was in fact eating, it wasn't dirt... it was frosted flakes.
Somehow I mixed up where Chad and Michelle were sitting... hey, not so bad for something that happened 36 or so years ago right?  (it had even been a year or more since I'd seen this picture... give a girl a break!)
I also managed to miss one teensy tiny detail.  Tiana wasn't even born...  so kinda pointless to include this picture to tell you a story about her.

See, my version was better after all!

It is sometimes weird to think about how life is actually in color when you look at those old back and whites.

I am very impressed that you remembered as much as you did. And no matter which version you used, you are always funny!

Ahh. Blame it on the kids.
With each kid they take a few brain cells...

Ya, insanity is contagious. You get it from your kids.

Wasn't the world all black and white 35 years ago?

Hey, at least you remembered all your siblings! There is something to be said for that.

Hey color vs BW is how we could tell the difference between hubby's and our youngest's picture!! ;p

I actually like black and white. Everybody shot color when mine were little, but I took some in black and white because I thought it was "ARTSY"...

I wish some of my memories would go! I've lost PLENTY of brain cells! There are things I remember from when I was tiny... and yet not something that happened a week ago. *sigh*

Well, I LIKE your version... It's "ARTSY", too!! ;D

I love both pictures and both versions:) I always picture my parents lives in black and white---because that's how all their little kid pictures are.

I think Barb just said I was as old as her mother...

which I guess isn't too far from true, but still!

(it's all good Barb!)

My wise mother is always warning me how history is just one person's version of events. And I caught myself mixing all my birthing stories up today and sadly it was the youngest baby's that I remembered the least about!
Looking at the Real Picture though you definitely are your children's mama....

I think I might prefer your drawing over the photo though, it's got so much more je ne sais quoi! ;)

I couldn't find a photo this week for a post either, I could have sworn I knew where it was. I love yours.
