Here it is, Father's Day - and I'm on vacation.
WITHOUT ManOfTheHouse!!!
I know, I know - I deserve to be put in shackles in the public square and ridiculed by men and women alike.
Can I mention that I did not choose the dates of the class reunion? Will that make a difference? Can I mention that I had to fly home on Monday to AVOID ruining Father's Day for other people who would have been inconvenienced by my needing a ride from the airport? How about the fact that I saved a few bucks by flying Monday instead of Sunday? Does ANY of this redeem me???
Nope?
Well, just so you know, I'm celebrating Father's Day with my Father... maybe I'm cooking up some amazing breakfast or doing other amazing wonderful daughter things (or maybe I'm sleeping off the reunion fun?). Heck, ManOfTheHouse is not MY father - so the kids have this under control... I hope!
Love Ya M.O.T.H. - hope those were yummy crepes!!! Just toss the leftovers in the fridge, I'll be home tomorrow :)

I agree it is not your fault that your reunion was this weekend. At least you get to spend it with your dad and your husband is probably fine without you for a few days. As for me, I didn't even get my husband a card.
Hey, things happen!
I'm gonna let it slide~this year. But next year, I expect a pictorial of the Father's Day celebration...just to prove you stayed home.
I hate when people don't check calendars properly when planning things. That is how my husband ended up out of town on Mother's Day this year. Maybe the same people planned your reunion as planned his work meeting?
I hope you had a super good time at the reunion!!! You are incredible and I hope that came off when visiting with old friends... or frenemy's! ;)
Hope your drive back down to the heat was pleasant
At least you had a good time at your reunion, and you can always make it to him when you get back.
It will be ok.
I can't wait to hear more about your reunion.
Hands down, Which was better?--Casual Blogger Conf OR your reunion?
This sounds like one terrific father's day. The anti-airport stuff is where we all should be in life.
It's late and my comments are making less and less sense.
I didn't do anything for Father's Day! I sort of lumped it into our anniversary.
Let's play Boggle raht nah-yow! I live in Texas. How about you? Ha! I am obsessed with Boggle and like to make people cry when it's over. Maybe we should save that until a later time. I have to put my kind face on first. Seriously, thanks for stopping by my blog and dropping a comment. Loved it!
Well, hopefully you made it up to him!
I'm waiting to hear how fabulous you were at the reunion!
Hope you had a fun time at the reuinun! :)
