Going to go Mope Now...

okay - nobody wanted to play my little game...  I'm not hurt really - I'll get over it.  I have a thick skin (really, remember that horrid sunburn?)

SO - for anyone who thought it was a fun idea but just couldn't bring themselves to do the whole "linking" thing - go Here and just add a bit at a time.   IF there is somebody out there who wants to continue the whole linked story - I'm totally up for it, just be sure to reference the permalink to the story post and let me know to link back to you!

For anyone who was just hoping that I would give up and get on with my regular posts before they felt obligated to participate - you're off the hook!

On another subject - Today is the birthday of my big sister who will totally LOVE the new blog so technically that can be her gift (talk about cheap!)
Later (when I'm done moping) I'll fill you all in about my night at the theatre... think "flood"  people.

Good ideas just take time. Y:ou got me thinking creatively for sure and doesn't that count for a good post?!

Sorry to be part of your reason to mope. I did think about trying it, but I wasn't feeling well (I fell better, now BTW) and my husband has the writing skills in our family. So it intimidated me. Chicken, I know.

Would you believe it if I said my dog ate my modem? We actually did have internet problems, but I knew you wouldn't really believe me. I just want you to finish the story. I hate it when somebody else messes with my own plot lines.
We do play the continue-the-story game with the kids all the time and everybody gets mad at each other for taking the story in a different direction than they wanted. And with yours it could cause some major rifts in the family. Michelle would go all romantic, CC would take the main character shopping in NY, LC would somehow end up on a beach...Actually this does sound interesting! Start it again!

hahaha... that would be fun - and the joy of doing it over blogs is that it doesn't matter if you go your own way with it because they got to do it their way too :)

Yeah, umm... about me finishing the story - I never have been able to do that... I always have these flashes of inspiration that include the first chapter... a few crises... and that's it... if I EVER publish anything it will be a book of story starters for teaching creative writing classes :) (not much market for those...)

Hey T don't mope, after all your readers seem to be a bunch of busy moms. I thought your idea was a good one, but you know my kitchen looks like the 3rd world, and the dogs are now eating the cereal the kids spilled in the pantry, and I gotta go teach class... and...well you all have your lists too :-) Your enthusiasm is good though, and so are your rants!!

I really love these stories- do it again! But maybe more of a BAM BAM beginning? Not to knock your first try....
